- With buy to let property, by investing the same £100,000 in property (and leverage to £400,000) generating a 5% Gross Profit i.e. rental income minus costs of £20,000 your ROI would be 20%: £20,000/£100,000
- Capital growth – we all understand that Property Prices will rise again in future. Historically house prices have doubled every seven years and on top of this it is also possible to ‘force’ a property’s capital appreciation by adding value.
- Property is Tangible – whether residential or buy to let, you can physically see, touch and keep an eye on your property (should you so wish), as opposed to other investements which are intangible
- Property is a business – by providing a service (ie a place to live or rent) to other people you generate an income from your asset and as shown in the example above, by using Leverage then Property will deliver far greater returns than other investments
